Khulna, 26 June 2024- Investigation is going on regarding the assets of the police officials.  Police IG Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun said that the real information will come out in the investigation.

He said this to reporters at the Khulna Metropolitan Police line on Wednesday (June 26) at noon.

He also said that there was a meeting of the journalists with the Police Service Association, I hope the matter will be resolved through discussion.

In response to questions from journalists, the IGP said that Bangladesh Police follows a zero-tolerance policy against any unethical activities.  Saqlain was compulsorily retired because the complaint was found to be proved.

He said that Bangladesh Police works for the welfare of the people.  Police units are scattered in remote areas.  Police stations have never been locked since their inception.  The door of the police station is always open, people come there.  We are ready to listen to people's problems.  We are prepared against all types of crimes.  Buildings and manpower will increase, it is not to increase our beauty, we want to repay the debt through public service.

Before this he laid the foundation stone of 4 storey armory building, 6 storey multipurpose building and electrical substation.  Besides, Bara Boyra inaugurated the police outpost and multipurpose shed.

Later, he attended a discussion meeting with the police officials at the police commissioner's office regarding law and order.
