Dhaka, August 3- Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her willingness to engage in dialogue with the student protesters advocating for quota reforms. Speaking during a meeting with the Professional Coordination Council at Ganobhaban on Saturday, Hasina emphasized that the doors of Ganobhaban are always open for students. She expressed her desire to meet with quota activists to discuss their issues and resolve conflicts amicably.

This announcement comes in the wake of recent violence involving police, Chhatra League, and Jubo League members against the mass rallies organized by the anti-discrimination student movement. The students are demanding a fair investigation into the violence, the resignation of those responsible, and the release of detainees.

In response to the ongoing unrest, which has seen protests erupt across the country and a call for an all-out non-cooperation movement starting Sunday, Prime Minister Hasina had previously instructed three senior Awami League leaders—Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, and AFM Bahauddin Nashim—to engage with the movement's coordinators. This decision was made during an emergency meeting held at Ganobhaban on Friday night.
