Sylhet, Sep 17 (V7N)-  A special patrol team of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized a significant amount of Indian cloth hidden inside a truck carrying sand at the Sylhet border. The seized items include sarees, three-pieces, lehengas, dhotis, and thana cloth.

The operation took place on Tuesday morning at the Chatul Eidgah market near the border in Kanighat upazila. BGB officials, acting on suspicion, stopped and searched the truck, leading to the discovery of the smuggled goods.

According to a statement from BGB, the seized cloth is currently being processed for submission to the Tamabil Customs Office for further action. This marks another successful effort by the BGB to prevent cross-border smuggling in the region.
