Dhaka, Nov 13 (V7N) – A bus was set on fire by unidentified individuals in the Sagupta area of Pallabi, Dhaka, in a suspected arson attack late Wednesday night.

According to the Fire Service control room, the incident occurred around 12:10 a.m. when a bus operated by Trust Transport Service was parked in the area. Two fire service units rushed to the scene and managed to bring the blaze under control.

No casualties have been reported so far, and authorities are investigating the incident to determine the cause and identify the perpetrators. The Fire Service confirmed that the bus sustained significant damage due to the fire. Local residents reported hearing loud noises and seeing smoke rising from the vehicle, prompting immediate emergency calls.

Police officials are reviewing nearby CCTV footage and questioning witnesses as part of the ongoing investigation. Trust Transport Service stated that it is cooperating fully with law enforcement to assess the damage and prevent future incidents.

The motive behind the arson remains unclear, and authorities have urged residents to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity in the area.
