The flood situation in Jamalpur remains critical, with 200,000 people stranded.

According to Rafiqul Islam, Executive Engineer of the Jamalpur Water Development Board, water levels have slightly decreased at Bahadurabad Ghat but remain significantly above danger levels, while at Jagannathganj Ghat, levels have risen further.

Flooding has impacted multiple upazilas, submerging crops and roads and disrupting daily life. Relief efforts are underway, with rice, dry food, and medical teams deployed to assist affected families.

District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Alamgir Hossain reported the closure of 136 schools and the establishment of 11 relief centers to shelter displaced families, who face shortages of food and clean water.
