Dhaka, Apr 10 (V7N) – The International Crimes Tribunal's prosecution has officially requested Interpol to issue red notices for 10 accused, including 8 fugitive former ministers and state ministers. The information was provided by the tribunal's chief prosecutor, Tajul Islam, during a press briefing on Thursday.
The prosecutor mentioned that the tribunal had received 339 complaints related to genocide and disappearances. Of these, 39 complaints are under investigation, and 22 cases have been filed. The total number of accused in these cases stands at 141, with 54 arrested and 87 absconding.
Tajul Islam added that amendments to the tribunal's law may be proposed next week to facilitate the trial process.
