After the arrest of Md Kamal, the mastermind behind the killing of the Beat officer, from Sitakund, Chittagong, and Helal, the accomplice of the murder, from Ukhiya, Kotbazar, in a separate operation on Monday, a press conference organized at RAB-15 Cox's Bazar headquarters on Tuesday afternoon informed this information, RAB-15 commander Lt. Col. H. M. Sajjad Hossain.
 
RAB said that after the arrest Kamal and Helal were interrogated to be involved in the soil smuggling syndicate and the Beat officials confessed to the murder.
 
The arrested are Md Kamal Uddin (39) son of Shah Alam of Harinmara area, Helal Uddin (27) son of Noor Alam Maizza of Tuturbil area.
 
 
RAB said that taking legal action against the arrested is under process.
 
It should be noted that on March 31 midnight in Ukhiya, during the operation to cut the mountain of the protected forest, the Bonbit official Md. Sajjaduzzaman (30) was killed. He was in charge of the Beat Officer of Dochhari Forest Beat in Ukhiya Range of Cox's Bazar South Forest Division and is the son of Mohammad Shahjahan of Gajria Upazila of Munshiganj District.
Forest guard Muhammad Ali (27), son of Abul Manjur of Jhimangkhali area of ​​Hnila union of Teknaf upazila, was injured in the incident.
 
 
Earlier, accused number 5 of this case Chayed Karim and main accused dumper driver Bappi were arrested by the police.
 
The day after this incident, Ukhiya Range Officer named 15 against 10 people. Shafiul Alam filed a case at Ukhiya police station as the plaintiff.
