Pabna, Mar 03 (V7N) - A three-day training workshop on "Public Procurement Rules (PPR)-2008" for officials of Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) has successfully concluded. The training ended on Monday (March 3) with a certificate distribution ceremony.

Professor Dr. Md. Shamim Ahsan, Treasurer of the university, attended the event as the chief guest and distributed certificates to the participants. The workshop was conducted by Md. Amir Hossain, retired Natore District Accounting Officer, in the virtual classroom of the university’s central library building. The event was presided over by Md. Golzar Hossain, Additional Director of the Planning, Development, and Works Department.

Speaking at the event, Professor Dr. Md. Shamim Ahsan emphasized the importance of following procurement rules and regulations. He stated that understanding legal frameworks makes tasks easier and ensures transparency and accountability. He also highlighted the role of training in developing a clear understanding of official responsibilities and urged participants to apply their knowledge to uphold integrity in their work.

The workshop was organized by the Planning, Development, and Works Department, with officials from various university departments participating. The training aimed to enhance their efficiency and adherence to procurement policies.

The session was moderated by Abdullah Al Mamun, Assistant Registrar of the Planning, Development, and Works Department. University officials expressed their commitment to applying the knowledge gained from the training in their respective roles.
