Khulna, Sept 1 (V7N) – Police have recovered the body of journalist Wahed-Uz-Zaman Bulu from beneath the Khan Jahan Ali (Rupsha) Bridge in Khulna. The body was found around 7:00 PM on Sunday near the base of pillar no. 2 of the bridge.
 
Naval police, Coast Guard personnel, and members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-6) visited the scene following the discovery. The incident has raised concerns in the local journalist community.
 
Wahed-Uz-Zaman Bulu was a resident of Ibrahimpur Mia Road near Shibbari Mor in Khulna city. He was the son of Md. Akbar Ali and a member of the Khulna Union of Journalists. Bulu worked as the Khulna correspondent for the daily newspaper Sangbad Protidin.
 
Officer-in-Charge of Labanchora Police Station, Md. Touhiduzzaman, confirmed the recovery of the body. When contacted, SI Ahmed Bellal of the river police said that an identity card found in the deceased's pocket confirmed his name as Wahed-Uz-Zaman Bulu.
 
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
