PABNA, FEB 24 (V7N) - The Executive Committee election-2026 of the Pabna University of Science and Technology Press Club (Pabiprobi Press Club) was held in a peaceful and festive atmosphere.

Emran Hossain Tanim, university correspondent of Manabzamin and Jago News, has been elected as President, while Alfi Sunny, university correspondent of Daily Jugantor, has been elected as General Secretary.

The voting took place at the organization’s office on Monday (February 23) from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Leaders and activists of various social and cultural organisations of the university observed the election process during the voting period.

Following the completion of voting, the results were officially announced by Chief Election Commissioner Professor Dr. Mir Humayun Kabir and Election Commissioner Md. Ghalib Hasan.

According to the declared results, B. M. Mikail Hossain (Dainik Nayadiganta) was elected as Publicity and Publication Editor, Sajjadul Islam (Dainik Inqilab) as Office Secretary, and Ahsan Habib Atiq (Dainik Janakantha) as Treasurer.

Meanwhile, Monirul Islam (The Daily Campus) and Bhaskar Chandra Roy (Bulletin Barta) have been elected as Executive Members of the committee.

The newly elected leaders expressed their commitment to working for the welfare of journalists on campus and strengthening professional journalism at Pabna University of Science and Technology.
