Rajshahi, July 02 (V7N)- Shakil Hossen (20), a laborer, was rushed to the hospital after being bitten by a Russell's viper (snake) in Bagha, Rajshahi. The incident occurred on Monday (July 1) at 7 AM while he was collecting betel nuts in the middle of the Padma at Manik Char. Shakil Hossen is the son of Akbar Hossen from Dadpur Char in Chakrajapur Union.
 
It is known that Shakil Hossen went to collect betel nuts in the middle of Padma on Monday morning at 7 AM. While he was tying the collected betel nuts, a Russell's viper bit his hand. Without panicking, he captured the snake and tied it in a bundle. 
He then took it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. 
4 PM in the afternoon, it has been learned that Shakil's physical condition remains normal. His father, Akbar Hossen, confirmed this.
 
Regarding this, Bablu Dewan, Chairman of Chakrajapur Union, stated that a worker who was bitten by a Russell's viper while collecting betel nuts has been taken to the hospital and currently he is doing well.
