6 Injured Including 2 Police Officers in Attack on Police in Pabna; 3 Arrested Including Councilor
 
Pabna, July 3 (V7N)- An attack occurred during an anti-drug operation by the Department of Narcotics Control in Pabna town, resulting in injuries to six people, including two police officers.
 
Three individuals, including a local ward councilor, were arrested immediately after the incident.
 
The incident took place on Wednesday (July 3) around 5 PM near Singa Primary School in Radhanagar, Pabna town. The names and identities of the injured and other detainees were not immediately available.
 
Pabna Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rowshan Ali told Voice7 News that officers from the Department of Narcotics Control were conducting an operation in the area that afternoon. They were detained by Pabna Municipality Ward No. 10 Councilor Asaduzzaman Rajib and his followers.
 
Upon receiving the news, police from Pabna Sadar Police Station went to rescue them, but they were also attacked. Four members of the Department of Narcotics Control and two police officers were injured. Subsequently, an operation was conducted, and Rajib and two others were arrested. Legal actions are being processed against them, OC Rowshan Ali stated.
 
SI Zakir Hossain from the Department of Narcotics Control, Pabna Office, told Voice7 News that based on a tip-off, an anti-drug operation was being carried out in the area. During the operation, Rajib Commissioner and his associates attacked. When the police were informed and arrived at the scene, they too were attacked. Legal actions will be taken after discussions with higher authorities regarding this incident.
