Tangail, May 10 (V7N) – The admission test for the 'A' (Science) unit under the GST (General, Science & Technology) cluster of 19 public universities for the academic year 2024–2025 was successfully held on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in a peaceful and orderly manner across all centers.
Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Azim Akhand, Vice-Chancellor of Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) and Convener of the GST Admission Committee, inspected various examination centers on the MBSTU campus during the test.
Out of the 142,714 applicants for the ‘A’ unit examination, 7,307 candidates chose to appear at the MBSTU center. Furthermore, an architecture admission test was conducted in the afternoon across 21 centers on the same day, with 3,139 applicants, 122 of whom selected the MBSTU center.
Previously, the 'C' unit admission test took place on April 25th, with results released on April 28th. The 'B' unit test was held on May 2nd, and the results were published on May 5th.
Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Azim Akhand, who also serves as the Convener of the GST Admission Test Committee for the 2024–25 academic year, informed journalists during his visit that all three unit exams (‘C’, ‘B’, and ‘A’) were conducted without any disruptions, under the close oversight of the Vice-Chancellors of the participating universities.
No untoward incidents were reported at any of the 21 university centers during the examinations. The Convener expressed his sincere appreciation to all officials, staff, and stakeholders involved in ensuring the successful and disciplined execution of the admission tests.
