The project is being implemented under the initiative of AB Trust with financial support from Qatar Charity. The foundation stone was formally laid by former Pabna Municipality Chairman and valiant freedom fighter Jahurul Islam Bishu.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Professor Lutfar Rahman said that student accommodation has been a persistent problem at the century-old institution. He noted that several attempts had previously been made through different channels to resolve the issue, but none were successful. He expressed gratitude on behalf of the teachers and students to AB Trust and Qatar Charity for coming forward to address this long-standing need.

Once completed, the six-storey hostel is expected to significantly improve residential facilities for students, contributing to a more supportive academic environment at one of the region’s oldest and most prestigious educational institutions.
