Dhaka, Feb 07, (V7N) - Popular Bangladeshi actress Sohaana Saba has been arrested on allegations of involvement in a conspiracy against the state. Her arrest occurred late Friday night at approximately 12:30 AM from the Dhanmondi area in Dhaka. The confirmation came from Rezaul Karim Mallik, the Additional Commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (Detective Branch).

According to Mallik, “Sohaana Saba had been under our observation after the arrest of another actress, Meher Afroz Shaon. A short while ago, she was taken into custody. The charges against her are related to anti-state conspiracy.”

Sohaana Saba, widely known for her roles in television dramas and films, is suspected of being involved in activities that undermine national security. The police are yet to release detailed information on the nature of her alleged involvement in the conspiracy.

This comes after the earlier arrest of Meher Afroz Shaon on Thursday evening at around 7 PM. Shaon is currently being questioned by the Detective Branch regarding her role in the conspiracy. The police have not disclosed further specifics about her involvement or the case itself, but both actresses are believed to have been under surveillance for some time.

Authorities are investigating the claims, and further legal action will be taken based on the outcomes of the questioning and investigation.
