DHAKA, Jan 6, (V7N) –The Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) will be converted into a directorate to work more effectively on a large scale to improve the living standards of rural people, said LGRD Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain.
The adviser was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the two-day Deputy Director Conference-2025, organized by the Bangladesh Rural Development Board in Dhaka on Monday.
He also said that one of the main objectives of the July mass uprising is political, economic, and social emancipation of all including the rural and marginalized population of Bangladesh.
Measures will be taken to strengthen BRDB and transform it into a directorate, he added.
The adviser said that more dynamism should be brought into the official activities of BRDB.
He instructed the officials to fill the vacant posts and promote eligible candidates.
Adviser Asif instructed BRDB officials to make the rural people self-reliant through providing credit assistance and more training.
He also urged all officers and employees to work together to implement the "Three-Zero Theory" of the chief adviser and eliminate rural poverty.
