Chicago, Jan 08, (V7N) – Taylor Swift’s fans were treated to a surprise release in the new year as her marketing team, Taylor Nation, announced a special edition vinyl drop featuring a heart-shaped record. The drop, priced at $39.99 ($57 after tax and shipping), was first teased early Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. CT with a cryptic tweet consisting of only a heart emoji with an arrow through it.

The following announcement came 90 minutes later, stating: “Attention everyone who leaves the Christmas lights up till January! Lover (Live From Paris) special edition heart-shaped vinyl is here for 72 hours or while supplies last! Get one for you or your lover at [store link].” Fans were given an exclusive 72-hour window, or until supplies ran out, to purchase the vinyl.

This new heart-shaped edition of Lover (Live From Paris) follows Swift's intimate performance in Paris in September 2019. The concert, which was attended by only 2,000 lucky fans, came after Swift’s planned Lover Fest tour was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Originally slated to take place in Boston and Los Angeles, the Lover Fest concerts were a much-anticipated event that was eventually scrapped.

The Lover (Live From Paris) vinyl release is the third version of this concert to hit the shelves. Swift initially released a version of the album through Republic Records in May 2020. A year later, she reissued a limited-edition vinyl exclusively through her online store on February 14, 2023, for Valentine's Day. These special edition records quickly became coveted items, with some even selling for more than $1,100 on eBay.

Swift’s new heart-shaped vinyl is part of her ongoing effort to connect with her fans and celebrate her music through unique and collectible merchandise. It follows a trend she has set in recent years, where she regularly releases limited-edition vinyls and other exclusive items that often become highly sought after by her fanbase.
