BANGKOK, Apr 03  (V7N) — Thailand’s Minister for Social Development and Human Security, Varawut Silpa-archa, met with Bangladesh's Chief Adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, on the sidelines of the BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok on Thursday. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in social development and regional security.

Additionally, Jiraporn Sindhuprai, Thailand’s Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, also held discussions with the Bangladesh Chief Adviser. The leaders exchanged views on enhancing collaboration between the two nations within the BIMSTEC framework.

Bangladesh has been actively engaging with BIMSTEC member states to boost regional trade, connectivity, and development initiatives. The meetings signal a continued commitment to fostering stronger diplomatic and economic ties between Bangladesh and Thailand.

The BIMSTEC Summit brings together leaders from seven South and Southeast Asian nations to discuss key regional issues, including trade, climate change, and security cooperation.
