Dhaka, July 24 (V7N) – The Advisory Council of the interim government has decided to accord state honors to Mahreen Chowdhury and Masuka Begum, the two teachers of Milestone School and College who lost their lives in the tragic plane crash in Uttara.

The decision was made during a regular meeting of the Advisory Council held at the office of the Chief Advisor on Thursday morning. The details of the state honors will be finalized and announced soon.

A condolence resolution was also adopted at the meeting in memory of all those who perished in the crash. Participants observed a minute of silence and offered prayers seeking eternal peace for the departed souls.

The council further decided that the government will ensure comprehensive support for the treatment and rehabilitation of the injured and the bereaved families. The Ministry of Education has been tasked with coordinating with the school authorities to determine the necessary next steps.

Additionally, it was announced that special prayers will be held at all religious institutions across the country tomorrow, seeking divine mercy for the deceased and a speedy recovery for the injured. The Ministry of Religious Affairs will coordinate these nationwide prayer events.
