COX’S BAZAR, Mar 9, (V7N) – Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has urged collective efforts to maintain discipline, prevent injustice and ensure peace in society.

“Everyone must live in order. No one should commit any injustice against people. We must not hear any news of disorder or extortion. Everyone should cooperate with the administration,” he said while addressing local leaders and activists at the Dak Bungalow of the Roads and Highways Department in Chakaria Municipality on Sunday night.

Arriving in his constituency Chakaria‑Pekua earlier in the afternoon for the first time since assuming office, Ahmed emphasized establishing good governance under BNP leadership. “Such governance must be established so that people feel that BNP is running the state and they can live in peace. People should receive development, discipline and peace. Everyone should work as a friend of the people and cooperate with the administration,” he added.

The minister also invited local leaders to provide suggestions regarding development and assured them of taking responsibility for implementation. Later, around 10:30 pm, he visited his village home in Sikderpara of Pekua, where he offered prayers at the graves of his parents.

Ahmed’s visit generated enthusiasm among party members and local residents, with calls for strengthening law and order and ensuring justice through collective cooperation.
