DHAKA, Mar 9, (V7N) – Bangladesh has strongly condemned an aerial attack in Saudi Arabia’s Al‑Kharj Governorate that killed two of its nationals and injured several others, urging restraint and international efforts to prevent further civilian casualties.
In a press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the government is deeply saddened by the deaths of Bacchu Miah of Katiadi, Kishoreganj and Mosharraf Hossain of Shakhipur, Tangail, while several injured Bangladeshis are receiving treatment at local hospitals.
Officials from the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh have visited the injured and are coordinating with Saudi authorities to repatriate the mortal remains of the deceased.
The government condemned attacks that result in the loss of innocent lives, calling on all parties to exercise maximum restraint. It also urged the international community to take urgent and effective measures to de‑escalate the situation and prevent further casualties.
The statement reaffirmed that Bangladesh accords the highest priority to the safety and welfare of its nationals in the Middle East and is closely monitoring the evolving situation.
