Rangamati, Mar 1 (V7N) – In an effort to preserve the sanctity of Ramadan and ensure affordable prices, the Rangamati Municipal Jamaat organized a rally and gathering in the city on Friday, February 28. The event took place in the Banrupa area of the district.

During the gathering, the District Jamaat Amir urged traders to refrain from raising prices of essential goods during Ramadan and called for the cooperation of the administration in controlling market prices. He emphasized that conducting business with fairness and justice would bring blessings from Allah.

The Amir also appealed to restaurant owners to close their businesses during the day to respect the sanctity of fasting and requested the administration to take action against drug abuse.

The event was chaired by Md. Mainuddin, President of Rangamati Municipal Jamaat, with Secretary Hafeez Abul Bashar serving as the event’s moderator. District Chhatra Shibir Secretary Md. Rabiul Islam also delivered a speech.

Other leaders present included District Jamaat Secretary Md. Monsurul Haque, Municipal Jamaat Assistant Secretary Advocate Md. Rehmat Ullah, and Secretary of the District Workers Welfare Federation Advocate Zillur Rahman, among others.

Prior to the gathering, Jamaat leaders organized a rally in Banrupa, which toured key streets of the city to mark the arrival of Ramadan.
