CUMILLA, Feb 13, (V7N) - National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Organizer for the Southern Region Hasnat Abdullah, unofficially elected from the Cumilla-4 (Debidwar) constituency in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) election, said public trust and confidence played a decisive role in his victory.

“This election was a contest between me and a large, influential political group. But the people stood by my side. They had faith in me. That is why I have emerged victorious,” he said while speaking at a views-exchange meeting with journalists at the Cumilla Town Hall ground this afternoon.

Hasnat Abdullah said his party aims to promote justice and fairness in governance. “We will strive to build a system where even my political opponent does not face any injustice. Our efforts will focus on rebuilding state institutions and ensuring accountability,” he added.

Outlining key priorities, he said the NCP is committed to strengthening transparency, maintaining a firm stance against corruption and pursuing institutional reforms as part of its broader political agenda.

In the 13th parliamentary election held yesterday, the NCP leader secured a decisive win in the Cumilla-4 constituency, according to unofficial results.
