Dhaka, Sept 01 (V7N): BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir asserted today (1 September) that democracy will be established in the country by overcoming all obstacles.

Addressing the media after placing a wreath at the grave of former president Ziaur Rahman, on the occasion of BNP's 46th founding anniversary, Fakhrul stated, "We are committed to building a new Bangladesh. We pledge to surmount any challenge and establish democracy in the nation."

He emphasized that the BNP's current primary mission is to realize the ideals envisioned by the martyred president Ziaur Rahman and to restore the democratic system initiated by Begum Khaleda Zia.

Fakhrul added, "Today, we mark this day with the blessings of Allah, in a free and independent environment, together with the student community. We believe that with the right political approach and the support of the people, the BNP will continue to provide leadership and focus on rebuilding the country."
