LONDON, Jan 6, (V7N) – Raul Jimenez kept his nerve in the dying moments of the match, converting a 91st-minute penalty to secure a 2-2 draw for Fulham against Ipswich Town in a thrilling Premier League clash at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

The Mexican striker, who scored both of Fulham’s goals from the spot, rescued a point for the home side after they twice fell behind to relegation-battling Ipswich.

Ipswich struck first in the 38th minute, with Sam Szmodics firing past Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno. The visitors maintained their lead into halftime, frustrating the ninth-placed Fulham side.

Fulham leveled the score in the 69th minute when Jimenez calmly converted his first penalty after a foul inside the box. But Ipswich wasted no time regaining their lead just two minutes later, as Liam Delap converted a penalty following a handball.

With Ipswich on the verge of climbing out of the relegation zone, disaster struck when Leif Davis brought down Jimenez inside the box in stoppage time. Referee Darren Bond had no hesitation pointing to the spot.

Jimenez delivered a sensational penalty, blasting into the top corner to leave Ipswich stunned and ensure Fulham took a share of the spoils.

The result leaves Fulham ninth in the table, six points adrift of the top four. Ipswich, on the other hand, remains in 17th, sitting below Wolverhampton on goal difference despite having played an extra game.

Fulham will face a tough test against Aston Villa next week, while Ipswich hosts fellow strugglers Burnley in arelegation six-pointer.
