Rio de Janeiro, Sep 10 (V7N)- Brazil have announced a 26-member squad for their upcoming international friendly matches against Australia and India, with head coach Carlo Ancelotti beginning preparations for the national team’s long-term future.
Announcing the squad on Wednesday, Ancelotti said he wants the upcoming fixtures to mark the beginning of a new chapter in Brazil’s planning, with an eye toward the 2028 Copa América and the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
The squad features several established stars, including Vinícius Júnior, Raphinha, Marquinhos and Bruno Guimarães.
Brazil’s attacking options also include Endrick, Estêvão, João Pedro, Pedro, Rayan and Samuel Lino, highlighting Ancelotti’s focus on combining experienced players with emerging young talent.

Brazil will face Australia twice, on September 25 and September 29.
The five-time world champions will then travel to India for a highly anticipated friendly against the hosts on October 3 at the Yuva Bharati Krirangan, commonly known as Salt Lake Stadium, in Kolkata.
The fixtures will provide Ancelotti with an opportunity to assess Brazil’s next generation while building the foundation of a squad capable of competing for major international honors in the years ahead.
