Istanbul, Oct 12 (V7N)- Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has made history in the Turkish Super League, contributing to 10 goals in his first seven league appearances for Trabzonspor.

The 34-year-old has scored seven goals and provided three assists, becoming the first player in the league's history to record 10 goal contributions in his opening seven matches, according to the report.

Trabzonspor secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Samsunspor on Saturday (October 11), with Salah assisting one of the goals to bring his league assist tally to three.

The Egyptian captain has been in impressive form since joining the Turkish club from English Premier League side Liverpool last August on a two-year contract.

Salah became a free agent after ending his association with Liverpool at the conclusion of the previous season, allowing him to join Trabzonspor without a transfer fee.

His arrival generated significant excitement among Trabzonspor supporters, with large crowds welcoming him when he arrived in Istanbul. He made his league debut as a substitute against Kasimpasa in the opening match of the season, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Salah quickly established himself as a key player. In a 4-0 home victory over defending champions Galatasaray, he scored a hat-trick and provided an assist, handing the Istanbul side its first defeat of the season.

Trabzonspor, one of Turkey's most historic football clubs, has won the league title seven times. The team finished third last season, and supporters hope Salah's outstanding performances will strengthen its challenge for the championship this campaign.
