Airports in Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, and Bristol reopened Sunday after heavy snow forced temporary runway closures.

Leeds Bradford Airport remains closed indefinitely due to the adverse weather.

Key roads in northern England were shut, and rail services between Leeds and Halifax were suspended.

Germany

Frankfurt Airport, Germany's largest, cancelled 120 flights out of 1,990 due to snow, black ice, and poor visibility.

Munich Airport cancelled 35 flights as a precaution, out of 750 scheduled departures and landings.

Netherlands

Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport cancelled 68 flights and delayed orer 200 due to snowy conditions.

Affected routes included European destinations and long-haul flights to Newark and Detroit in the United States.

Passengers were advised to check flight statuses before traveling.

Spain

Delays of up to 3.5 hours were reported at Madrid and Barcelona airports.

Cancelled flights included services to and from European cities like Frankfurt, Cologne, Amsterdam, and London.

No snow warnings were issued, but strong winds in northern Spain triggered yellow-level warnings.

Prague’s Vaclav Havel Airport closed at 1600 GMT due to freezing rain and black ice, affecting dozens of flights.

Incoming flights were diverted, and some returned to their departure airports.

Authorities anticipated reopening later in the evening.
