Jharkhand, Feb 24 (V7N)- An air ambulance crash in the Simaria area of Chatra district, Jharkhand claimed the lives of seven people, including a patient, on Monday evening.
The aircraft, en route from Ranchi to Delhi, lost contact with Kolkata Air Traffic Control shortly after takeoff and crashed in a forested area.
Victims Onboard
There were two pilots, a patient, two relatives, and two health workers on board. All seven perished in the crash.
Possible Cause and Investigation
The air ambulance, reportedly 39 years old, is believed to have crashed due to adverse weather conditions. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
Emergency teams are on-site for recovery and investigation.
