Oct 09, V7N - Walker Buehler, the Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher, was the victim of a theft when a $100,000 watch was stolen from his arm while attending a horse race at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. The incident took place after Buehler's final regular season start on September 27th. He and his wife, McKenzie, were at the racetrack when Buehler unknowingly became the target of a snatch-and-grab robbery.

In a statement released by Buehler's agency, Excel Baseball, it was confirmed that the robbery happened as the couple was walking from the paddock to their seats. Fortunately, neither Buehler nor his wife were harmed during the incident. The theft was reported to the police and is currently under investigation.

Buehler, who has a well-known passion for horse racing, is focused on the playoffs, where he is scheduled to start Game 3 of the National League Division Series against the San Diego Padres. The series is tied at 1-1.

In addition to his baseball career, Buehler is also involved in horse racing, having held a microshare in Authentic, the horse trained by Bob Baffert that won the 2020 Kentucky Derby.
