San Francisco, Oct 12, (V7N) – The San Francisco 49ers silenced doubts about their season with a commanding 36-24 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday (October 10), night, reclaiming first place in the NFC West.

All-Pro tight end George Kittle was pivotal in the win, catching two touchdown passes from quarterback Brock Purdy. “He’s a baller,” Purdy said after the game. Kittle’s scoring receptions—one a 10-yarder in the third quarter and the other a crucial 9-yarder in the fourth—demonstrated his ability to perform under pressure.

Despite missing a game earlier this season due to a hamstring injury, Kittle has now tied for the league lead with five touchdown catches. “When you get the ball in his hands, he can break tackles and make plays,” Purdy noted.

Kittle, ranked as the NFL's No. 3 tight end by Pro Football Focus, has scored in each of the last four games, taking on a critical role as the team navigates injuries to key players like Christian McCaffrey and Charvarius Ward. “We still have the same energy as last year,” Kittle said. “Our core group is still here, and we’re hungry to win a Super Bowl.”

With the team now at 3-3, Kittle emphasized the importance of urgency, drawing from his experience playing alongside veteran teammates. “I feel like I’ve understood the sense of urgency since 2019,” he remarked. “I’m going to take advantage of every single day.”

As the 49ers prepare for a challenging schedule ahead, including a rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs, Kittle’s leadership and playmaking ability will be crucial for the team's playoff aspirations.
