The ABG Bashundhara Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football, the country’s top-tier professional football league, will see the defending champions Bashundhara Kings take on the lowly Rahmatganj MFS in the 8th-round match on Friday (February 16).

The match will start at 5:15 pm at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka.

The other league match of the day will be between Bangladesh Police FC and Fortis FC at 3 pm at the Muktijoddha Smriri Stadium in Rajshahi.

The 8th round matches will continue on Saturday, with Dhaka Abahani playing Chittagong Abahani, Dhaka Mohammedan facing Sheikh Jamal DC and Sheikh Russel KC encountering Brothers Union Club.

Bashundhara Kings, who have a star-studded squad, are leading the league table with 18 points from seven matches, despite losing to Federation Cup winners Mohammedan SC in the 6th round match.

Mohammedan SC, the only team that has not lost a match in the league, are trailing the Kings by three points, while former champions Dhaka Abahani Ltd are in the third place with 13 points, both having played seven matches.

After the 7th round matches, six teams are tied from 4th to 9th places. They are: Chittagong Abahani Ltd (9 Pts) Sheikh Jamal DC ( 9 Pts) Rahmatganj MFS ( 7 Pts) Police FC (7 Pts). Fortis FC (6 Pts) and Sheikh Russel KC (6 Pts)

Brothers Union Club are at the bottom of the league table with three points from seven matches.
