Miami, Nov 06 (V7N)- Argentine football superstar Lionel Messi was presented with an honorary key to the city of Miami by Mayor Francis Suarez at a business forum on Wednesday (November 5).
Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas praised Messi, saying, “You have won the hearts of the people of this city. This is a small gift of love from us.” Messi expressed his gratitude, stating, “I feel really honored. This is a great honor for me.”
During the event, Messi also spoke about his future beyond football, remarking, “Unfortunately, everything ends eventually. I want to learn. Something new is coming for me, another world. I am slowly getting involved in that.”
The 38-year-old star joined Inter Miami in mid-2023 and won the Major League Trophy in his first season. Messi scored 50 goals in 53 matches and was named Major League Player of the Year for the season.
