The kabaddi competition on Independence Day at the national kabaddi stadium saw Birshreshtha Sepoy Mostafa Kamal's team win in the men's category and Begum Rokeya's team triumph in the women's category. In an intense final match, Birshreshtha Sepoy Mostafa Kamal's team managed to secure a victory over Birshreshtha Sepoy Noor Mohammad's team with a score of 40-33 points, earning two lonas.
Meanwhile, in the women's section final, the Begum Rokeya team displayed exceptional talent and teamwork to overcome the challenge posed by the Shaheed Janoni Jahanara Imam Kabaddi team, clinching victory with a score of 36-32 points and securing one creditable lona.
The prestigious event was graced by the presence of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) president and Inspector General of Police, Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, who presented the prizes to the deserving winners after the day's finals.
Accompanying him in the prize distribution ceremony was BKF general secretary and DMP commissioner, Habibur Rahman, underscoring the significance of the tournament in promoting kabaddi at the national level.
The ceremony, presided over by BKF member and tournament committee chairman, Nizamuddin Chowdhury Parvez, celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among the participating teams, highlighting the enduring appeal of kabaddi as a beloved sport in Bangladesh.
