Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has unveiled its squad for the imminent five-match T20I series against Bangladesh in May, featuring debutant Jonathon Campbell alongside seasoned players like Sikandar Raza, Craig Ervine, and Sean Williams.
Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) has disclosed its squad composition for the upcoming T20I series versus Bangladesh, marking the debut of 26-year-old allrounder Jonathon Campbell. Campbell, son of former Zimbabwe captain Alistair Campbell, emerges as the lone uncapped player in a team led by Sikandar Raza.
Captain Sikandar Raza will guide the team, supported by the return of experienced players like Tadiwanashe Marumani and Faraz Akram.
Jonathon Campbell's selection adds a familial intrigue to the squad, following the footsteps of his celebrated father, Alistair Campbell, in Zimbabwean cricket.
The series will commence with three matches in Chattogram on May 3, 5, and 7, followed by the final two encounters in Dhaka on May 10 and 12. The team boasts veterans Craig Ervine and Sean Williams alongside promising talents Clive Madande and Brian Bennett. Interim coach Stuart Matsikenyeri will oversee the team's campaign in Bangladesh, filling the void amidst Zimbabwe Cricket's coaching transition.
The inclusion of Jonathon Campbell underscores Zimbabwe's blend of emerging talent and seasoned campaigners as they prepare to face Bangladesh in the forthcoming T20I series.
