Bangladesh's national cricket team is intensifying its preparations for the forthcoming T20 International series against Zimbabwe with a focused three-day closed-door training session at Chattogram's Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, scheduled from April 26 to 28. The closed-door practice session aims to fine-tune the team's skills and strategies before facing Zimbabwe in the upcoming series, which will commence with matches hosted in Chattogram.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials have indicated that the final squad selection for the series will follow the completion of the training session. Notable omissions from the preliminary squad include Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman, currently unavailable due to overseas commitments. Shakib remains in the USA, while Mustafizur is participating in the IPL for Chennai Kings.

Mustafizur Rahman is expected to return to Bangladesh on May 2, aligning with the series schedule. Meanwhile, Shakib Al Hasan is anticipated to arrive in Bangladesh by the end of April. Zimbabwe's cricket team is set to arrive in Bangladesh on April 28 and will proceed directly to Chattogram in readiness for the series.

The closed-door practice session underscores Bangladesh's strategic preparations as they gear up to host Zimbabwe for the upcoming T20I series, with both teams focused on putting forth competitive performances in this international encounter.
