In Chattogram, the 115th round of the famous Abdul Jabbar wrestling competition concluded with the Cumilla wrestler Bagha Sharif defeating the Sitakunda wrestler Russell for the championship title.
 
With over 84 competitors from throughout the nation, the wrestling tournament got underway at Laldighi Field in the city on Thursday, April 25.In the main event were the two major contenders, the wrestlers from Sitakunda, Russell, and Cumilla, Bagha Sharif.
 
The victor received the trophy and prize money from ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, a member of Parliament and the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railway Ministry, who was also the primary guest.
 
Awami League General Secretary AJM Nasir Uddin of the city gave the wrestling competition its official opening. As the major guest, ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railway Ministry and a member of the Chittagong-6 Constituency, honoured the occasion.
