Sept 30, V7N- On Monday, a Palestinian militant group reported that three of its leaders were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Kola district of Beirut, marking the first attack within the city limits as Israel escalates its military actions against Iran's allies in the region. The strike targeted the upper floor of an apartment building, according to witnesses.

This incident is part of a broader pattern of increasing Israeli attacks, particularly against the Hezbollah militia in Lebanon and the Houthi militia in Yemen. The recent military actions have raised concerns about the potential for a wider conflict that could involve Iran and the United States, Israel's primary ally

The airstrikes have resulted in significant casualties. In Yemen, at least four people were reported killed and 29 wounded due to Israeli strikes on the port city of Hodeidah, which Israel claims were in response to Houthi missile attacks. In Lebanon, authorities reported that at least 105 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Sunday alone .Over the past two weeks, Lebanon's Health Ministry has indicated that more than 1,000 people have died and 6,000 have been injured, with a million people displaced from their homes.

The United States has called for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict while also authorizing military reinforcements in the region. President Joe Biden expressed hope that an all-out war in the Middle East could be avoided, indicating ongoing discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. As the situation continues to develop, the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon deepens, with many families displaced and living in precarious conditions .
