At least 10 strikes hit the southern suburbs of Beirut early Friday morning, according to Lebanon's official news agency. The Israeli army had issued evacuation orders for buildings in the area prior to the attacks. Footage from AFPTV showed explosions followed by clouds of smoke rising from the suburbs after the Israeli military targeted Hezbollah's stronghold.

The National News Agency (NNA) reported significant destruction in the impacted areas, with dozens of buildings leveled and numerous fires ignited. The Israeli warplanes specifically struck the suburban regions of Ghobeiry and Al-Kafaat, the Sayyed Hadi Highway, the vicinity of the Al-Mujtaba Complex, and the old airport road.

In recent weeks, the Israeli military has consistently bombarded southern Beirut while also conducting deadly strikes throughout the capital and across Lebanon. These latest strikes occurred just a day after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with U.S. officials to discuss a potential agreement aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict in Lebanon. The violence has resulted in a rising death toll, with at least 1,829 people reported killed in Lebanon since the start of Israel's air campaign against Hezbollah strongholds on September 23. However, the actual numbers are believed to be higher.
