In a concerning development, Houthi rebels have targeted another commercial vessel, this time setting their sights on the Israeli ship MSC Skye in the Arabian Sea. The attack occurred on Monday, March 4, with details emerging through a report from Arab media outlet Al Mayadin.

According to reports, the assailants launched multiple missiles at the MSC Skye, resulting in two consecutive explosions. The first explosion occurred at a distance from the ship, followed by a second blast within the vessel itself. The resulting fire caused extensive damage to the ship, although fortunately, there were no reported casualties among the crew.

Houthi spokesperson Yahya Sariya issued a statement vowing to continue attacks in the Red Sea until Israeli aggression against Palestine ceases. Sariya warned that any attempts to approach occupied Palestinian ports would be met with resistance, emphasizing the Houthi's commitment to defending Palestinian interests in the region.

The attack on the MSC Skye comes amidst escalating tensions in the region, with Houthi rebels also targeting a US warship in the Red Sea on the same day. According to the US military's Central Command (CENTCOM), the attack on the American vessel involved two Houthi anti-ship cruise missiles, prompting a swift response in self-defense.
