India's West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress President, Mamata Banerjee, sustained injuries after a fall within the premises of her Kalighat residence on Thursday. She was subsequently admitted to SSKM Hospital in Kolkata, where she received medical attention.

According to reports, Mamata Banerjee was walking in the premises of her residence when the incident occurred, resulting in a crack on her forehead. She was swiftly taken to SSKM Hospital, where she underwent tests, including a CT scan. Following assessments, she received three stitches on her forehead and one on her nose. Despite the injuries, her condition remains stable.

Trinamool's All India General Secretary, Abhishek Banerjee, confirmed Mamata Banerjee's condition, stating that she had received four stitches - three on her forehead and one on her nose. He expressed confidence in her swift recovery, attributing it to the blessings of the people of Bengal.

Upon hearing the news of Mamata Banerjee's injury, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media to wish her a speedy recovery. Similar sentiments were echoed by other political figures, including State BJP President Sukanta Majumdar and Pradesh Congress President Adhir Chowdhury.

Meanwhile, Trinamool Member of Parliament and actor Dev halted a party meeting upon learning of Mamata Banerjee's injury. He subsequently visited the Vishalakshi temple in Ghatal to offer prayers for her recovery.

The incident has sparked concerns about Mamata Banerjee's health and safety. Hospital sources have indicated that her wounds are significant, prompting the formation of a medical board for further evaluation. Mamata Banerjee's fall has raised questions about the circumstances leading to the incident, with reports suggesting that she tripped while walking.
