Pennsylvania, July 22 (V7N) – A small aircraft crashed near Lancaster Airport in Pennsylvania on Sunday morning, killing the sole passenger onboard, according to local authorities.
The crash occurred just before 8:00 AM (local time) near 500 Airport Road, Lancaster County officials confirmed. The victim, a male passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) reported that the aircraft involved was a single-engine Piper PA-46, which went down shortly after taking off from Lancaster Airport. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
