Kathmandu, Sep 09 (V7N) – Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli announced his resignation on Tuesday, following mass protests by the Zenjid movement, during which hundreds of demonstrators entered his office.
In his resignation letter to the President, Oli stated that he decided to step down to pave the way for a constitutional solution to the ongoing political crisis.
Amid the unrest, the Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu has issued an advisory for all Bangladeshi citizens residing in Nepal. The embassy urged citizens to stay indoors in their homes or hotels and avoid travel to or within Nepal due to security concerns.
