Bishkek, Nov 26 (V7N) — Russian President Vladimir Putin received a royal-style welcome as he arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a state visit on Tuesday (November 25).

Putin was greeted by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov at Manas International Airport, where he was honored with a formal guard of honor. The national flags of both nations were raised to mark the occasion.

The reception showcased the Golden Eagle, a powerful symbol of Kyrgyz strength and independence. Traditional Kyrgyz taiga, a cavalry procession, and cultural performances featuring women in traditional attire added grandeur to the ceremony.

Following the welcoming events, both leaders laid wreaths at the “Eternal Flame” memorial. Later in the evening, Putin and Japarov attended a state dinner.

A bilateral meeting between Russia and Kyrgyzstan is scheduled to take place today (Wednesday).
