Seoul, Dec 10 (V7N)- North Korea has carried out another rocket test on the Korean Peninsula, continuing its series of military activities in the region. The South Korean Ministry of Defense confirmed the development in an official statement issued on Wednesday (December 10).
According to the statement, multiple rockets were fired toward the sea on Tuesday afternoon, and the projectiles were detected in the northern waters of the Yellow Sea. South Korea’s defense authorities said the country’s intelligence unit has begun a detailed investigation to determine the type, range, and purpose of the weapons used in the test.
The Ministry of Defense noted that Pyongyang has been conducting frequent tests of various military technologies—including missiles, rockets, and drones—in recent months. Officials in Seoul believe these actions are part of North Korea’s response to joint military exercises and strategic operations conducted by the United States and South Korea on the peninsula.
Regional analysts warn that the continued escalation of weapons tests may further heighten tensions and complicate diplomatic efforts aimed at stability in the Korean Peninsula.
