Moscow, June 19, 2024 — The Russian Navy demonstrated its military prowess in the Pacific Ocean with a missile launch from a nuclear submarine, according to Reuters. This show of force is part of an extensive exercise conducted by the Pacific Fleet.
The exercise, which began on June 18 and will run until June 28, features a formidable array of naval power. Participating in the military exhibition are 40 ships and boats, along with 20 naval aircraft and helicopters, including long-range anti-submarine aircraft and search and rescue helicopters.
To ensure safety and security, the designated firing area has been preemptively closed to civilian ships and aircraft. The Russian Navy's display of strength is taking place in the strategic waters of the Sea of Japan and the Sea of Okhotsk, underscoring its capability and readiness in the region.
