Dhaka, Aug 30 (V7N): Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stated on Friday that Delhi will engage with the current government in Bangladesh, acknowledging the inevitability of political changes.

“It is natural that we will deal with the government of the day,” Jaishankar remarked, emphasizing the need to recognize that political changes can sometimes be disruptive.

He further noted the importance of focusing on mutual interests during such transitions.

Jaishankar made these comments during the launch of the book "Strategic Conundrums: Reshaping India’s Foreign Policy," authored by Rajiv Sikri.

Reflecting on the history of bilateral relations, Jaishankar mentioned that since Bangladesh’s independence, the relationship between the two countries has experienced fluctuations.
