Pakistan's crooked political history is witnessing any historical event? As the results of the country's national election primaries come in, such questions are becoming bigger. Imran Khan's party is ahead in the PTI results, which has caused a surprise to the media of the whole world, which has been dragged down and burned in jails, deprived of votes.
Explaining the dynamics of the preliminary counting of votes, Pakistani media said that the party of jailed Imran Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-PTI, which supported independent candidates, is now showing strength in the polls. If this trend continues, no one wants to have any doubts about the great victory that the country's former Prime Minister Imran Khan will see.
On the other hand, Imran Khan is laughing at the picture of the vote while sitting in jail, thinking maybe, no matter how much you imprison me, Pakistan wants me. Election commission or the army is not able to prevent this victory despite delay in publishing the results of the vote. While it is not unusual to get full results the day after the polls, analysts say the level of uncertainty about the results of Pakistan's general elections is unprecedented.
However, the picture of the poll results is changing rapidly. As of writing this report, the Election Commission of Pakistan has announced the results of 136 out of 265 constituencies. PTI-backed independent candidates are still ahead with 54 seats. Apart from this, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's party PML-N is in second place. His party got 42 seats.
Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of the country, has created a new sensation amid the tension over the election results. He declared himself the winner sitting in prison. He claimed so in a post on the X handle. Imran Khan said that despite taking all possible means, the people responded to him through voting. We have always said that no force can resist one whose time has come.
Also, Imran Khan's party PTI said that they will not form an alliance with Bilawal Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). PTI Chairman Barrister Gahar Ali Khan announced this during the counting of votes in the election on Friday. He said PTI will remain in Parliament and play its role.
He said that they are not keeping any contact with PML-N and PPP. PTI is going to win in 150 seats. PTI will form the government at the center and in the provincial council of Punjab. PTI's victory in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is certain and we will form the government there too. Independent candidates are all supported by PTI. They will not join any other party against party instructions.
Now let's see, in the end the result of the vote stands. A coalition or single majority will be known only after some time. On the other hand, Imran's supporters have already started chanting. In this election, a party has to win 134 seats to form a single government. However, analysts say that no party can get an absolute majority in Pakistan this time.
