Dhaka, Sep 17 (V7N): Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has emphasized that political developments in Bangladesh are an internal matter while reaffirming India's commitment to maintaining stable relations with its neighbor. He highlighted the interdependence between the two nations.

Speaking to NDTV on Tuesday, Jaishankar stated, "What happens is their internal matter. Bangladesh is our neighbor, and we want to keep the relationship stable." He further noted the strong trade and people-to-people ties between the two countries, expressing a desire to preserve these positive connections.

Nobel laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus, who is heading an interim government in Bangladesh, recently expressed a similar sentiment, advocating for maintaining a positive relationship with India while stressing the importance of fairness and equality in bilateral relations.
