An early-Friday fire west Bhashantek area of capital in the Bangladesh is said to have started from a mosquito coil. Six people, including two children, suffered severe burn injuries. 
 
The injuries were named as 50-year-old Md Liton, 40-year-old Surjo Banu, 65-year-old mother-in-law Meherunnesa, 18-year-old daughters Liza and Lamia, 7 and 8-year-old son Sujon.
 
Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka received all of the wounded patients' admissions, according to resident surgeon Dr. Tariqul Islam of the facility.
 
Liton suffered 67 percent burns, Banu 82 percent, Meherunnesa 47 percent, Liza 30 percent, Lamia 55 percent, and Sujon 43 percent, according to the doctor tending to the injured.
 
Via Culvert Road, a two-story building in the west Bhashantek area, victim Liton used to reside on the bottom level with his family, according to neighbour Moyna Banu. His business in the region sells furniture and electronic products.   
 
Mice may have broken the gas cylinder's piping, she said, because the kitchen and other rooms in the flat were coated with gas.
 
Liton was going to light the coil when a huge blast occurred, causing all of the family members to be hurt, according to the neighbour.
 
Hearing screams, locals rushed and took them to the burn institute, she added.
